A local TV channel in New Delhi, India aired a sting operation against a math teacher, Uma Khurana, in which they captured her on film making a prostitution deal with a reporter for a student.

The TV channel alleged that she would blackmail the girls saying that she had nude photos of them. After the coverage aired, hundreds of angry parents and protesters stormed the school and beat the woman.

A senior Police Officer stated: “The protesters ripped off her clothes and thrashed her badly.” The protesters also burned a police vehicle nearby and threw stones at a bus. Police had to use teargas to break up the mêlée.
